Utilizing a precision woven mesh fabric, The Hook's patented* Pop Screen places the filter approx. 1 1/2" – 2” from the microphone capsule, resulting in superior “breath pop” resistance as well as remaining acoustically transparent. Our standard round filters are constructed of high density fiberboard, with a 1/4" air-space separating dual screens.

By providing a user friendly "target", The Hook filter screens intuitively direct the artist to focus directly on the mic's capsule, allowing a more precise capture of the performance. An integrated moisture barrier assures protection of your microphone's expensive interior components.

~ Customer Testimonials ~

"The pop filter is great! ...Such a smart design." - Ben (Los Angeles)

"The filter stays in place even if the mic moves. It gives the vocalist a much smaller “sweet spot” to focus on, and I’ve had far fewer 'plosives with the same mic that we used before. The PF1 is my new favorite pop filter!" - JB (Tape Op Magazine)

"I like using 'The Hook Pop Filter' because it is very effective on reducing 'plosives! A very useful tool!" - Mark (Nashville)

"These new filters are hot! I use them to record light female lead vocals and gritty male vocals, and they work great. I like that they connect directly on the mic, so I can still filter out those pesky vocal "P's" and get a nice & rich intimate vocal performance. Good work Mike!" - SM

"Filters are both working great. I use them exclusively on all the vocals I now record." - Erik

"I just love your pop filters. The build quality is much better than I expected (the photos don't do them justice!)" - Theodore (Greece)
